Many people don’t know that you can setup your Facebook account to automatically publish the posts you’re writing in your blog  so I’m writing this brief tutorial to demonstrate how it’s done.  Once caveat however is that Facebook has a reputation for changing things every now and then, so what works today might not work next year or next month for that matter.

  1. Once logged into Facebook go to this address > http://www.facebook.com/notes.php
  2. Look for a box in the upper right corner called ‘Notes Settings’ … if you see a message that says, “You are not importing notes from an external blog” click on the link for “Import a blog”
  3. You can import posts from one external blog so that they appear along with your notes. Facebook will automatically update your notes whenever you write in your blog. Imported blog posts cannot be edited. Just paste the URL for your external blog’s RSS Feed into the text box and click the button that says ‘Start Importing’

I’ve learned today that a multi-user (MU) option for the next generation of WordPress 3.0 which is in the works and could possibly be released this May. MU will enable the management of multiple WordPress blogs from one control panel… at last…(maybe). There will probably be a few kinks and it remains to be seen how functional the control panel (CP) will be, but it’s reassuring to know that the development team is definitely headed in the right direction.
